User Profile

I'm not a very typical person in general, I tend to be more of a free thinker and sometimes a rebel (for good reason and with a cause). I stand by what I believe in, but I always consider other opinions. Overall, I'm a balanced person, I never really fit any one definition. I'm a thinker more than I am a doer and generally I tend to watch what is happening and think about it before I really decide anything, though I can be quite spontaneous if the mood finds me. I don't generally care much for large groups, up to 6 gets busy enough, and I'd prefer to spend time with someone one on one. I like people who can discuss many things and think critically about the world, and have no problem questioning how things are and how they should be. Generally speaking, I like people who question the status quo and look outside of normality, but not to the extreme. I also like people who are considerate of how their actions and words affect others, but I do respect those who say what they believe instead of hiding all the time; someone who chooses their battles carefully. I enjoy learning about other cultures and trying new things that I haven't tried before (I majored in Sociology with minors in Anthropology and Southeast Asian studies). I love Thai food and I want to learn how to cook.
My aesthetic tastes lean towards Eastern art and simplicity, nature, etc. I love just wandering around a field or forest just to see what is around me. I guess you could call me a very positive person, I usually find good even in what most would consider bad, though I am critical of some things as well. I have very diverse interests and have yet to find anyone who even comes close to being similar to me in that aspect.
